Seventh evening, Yes, I am a vampire
In the
unlikely event that you defeated Omni, it is probable that he is
laying there unconscious. Either way the hunger is upon you and
it is time to feed. Your hunger comes from your heart not your
stomach. You can feel your veins pulsing in anticipation and
your heart growls. Eva kneels beside him, setting her bow down,
and produces a kitchen knife. She takes one of his arms just
below the elbow and grips hard. She makes a slice in the
forearm just below the palm about eight centimeters straight down the
wrist. No blood flows because of the tight grip she has.
She raises the wrist to you invitingly. There is a light in her
eyes. A penetrating light. You can feel her heart growl
in answer to yours. You crouch, take the offered wrist and feel
faint at the smell of hot blood. You don’t even have to
draw the blood in. She releases her hold some and it flows
satisfying down to your toes. You close your eyes to better
feel the new life filling your soul. Oozing into every crevice
of your being. Space and time
seem to distort. Everything seems farther away, but bigger, so
it seems the same size. You feel as though you are slightly
behind and above yourself. That you are drinking from a crystal
glass and it is pure light that quenches your thirst. Your
heart starts to purr. Softly. Contentedly.
You are rocking back and forth in passion and you open your eyes very
slowly. The light stings a little, and there is a little
glare. You see Eva drinking from the other wrist. She
seems to be rocking in motion with the pulse of the life she is
drinking. You still have his hand in yours and you snatch the
ring off of his finger.
You now have an
Iron Flesh ring (stops 6 hits). You also have the ability to
regenerate one wound every second turn or every ten seconds.
This is quick enough for you to see any scars or wounds you may have
closing up on their own. In addition you can levitate at no
strength cost when ever you wish.
An
apprentice is standing just outside of the gate. Staring at you
in abject horror. He seems frozen to the spot and his head is
twitching slightly as if he is trying to shake it from side to side
in the ‘no’ motion. He can’t seem to move his
mouth or speak. You take your spear and rise. Eva
immediately drops the wrist, takes her bow, and rises beside you with
an arrow out.
You know the wisest thing
to do would be, grab the body and float away. You feel too
strong. Too invincible. Unwilling to tolerate this
intrusion. Even at DX-4 for daylight you charge.

This guy will
not defend, but will try to counter attack with his staff. The
chances of him hurting you now that you are wearing an Iron Flesh
ring are almost nil. Odds are you will hurt him, but he will do
no damage to you. In that event you will get the experience for
whatever damage you did and will knock his bloody body back through
the gate. See phase V “Force back” in Advanced
Melee.
